“When asked what my profession is, the answer often reveals responses of fascination, curiousity, or shock.
I work in the field of Muslim media – radio journalism specifically, and motivational speaking.

My life journey has allowed me to experience living and traveling in dozens of different cities around the world , learning about and working with individuals from cultures and traditions different to mine. I’ve climbed mountains in North Africa,kayaked across lakes in Asia, delivered conference papers in the Middle East, and established Qur’an memorisation classes for women, globally.

With my Niqaab on. Dressed as I am. A voice behind the veil. All praise be to Him.
You see, contrary to what some may want to believe, I’m liberated. Fabulously liberated.”
