30 Nov Learning from Life
You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called life. Each day in this school you will have the opportunity to learn lessons. You may like the lessons or hate them. The meaning of life is different for every individual & is unique to you.
You will be presented with lessons in every circumstance that surfaces in your life.
When you experience pain, you learn a lesson.
When you feel joy, you learn a different lesson.
For every action or event, there is a lesson attached to it that must be learned.
There really is no way to avoid the lessons you are presented with, nor is there any chance that you will be able to skirt around the learning process.
When you ask yourself, “Why am I here?” or “Why is this happening to me?” or “What is the lesson?” If you hear a defensive reaction using the words “never” or “always” in your response, you haven’t yet learned the lesson.
Next, go a little deeper and ask, “What is there for me to learn from this experience?”
Learning these lessons is the key to discovering & fulfilling the meaning & relevance of your own life.
Always keep in mind that life will carry on throwing you the same lessons until you have learnt from it.
Remember the following tips to pass life’s tests:
- The 1rst step that is most important is to accept that everything is from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala – He is the Controller of all our affairs & ALWAYS knows what is best for us.
Half-heartedly accepting this will not allow you to move forward. You will remain stuck in one place.
- Always always be thankful, come rain or hail; sunshine or pain.
Adopt an attitude of gratitude.
Thank Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala in every situation.
- Resort to intense du’aa along with effort. Adopt all permissible means to overcome life’s tests.
- Be patient from start to finish.
- Keep your eye on the goal: the purpose is just to earn the pleasure of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala.
