This Life is a Test

This life is a test. We will be tested, as Allah (s) repeatedly reminds us in the Qur’an.

“And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient.” Al-Bakarah, 2:155.

This life is not our home, it is a pathway to the Hereafter. Many times we forget, are distracted, do not come from a spiritual home or made the wrong choices when it came to our commitment to Islam. When we are tested it is a reminder that we need Allah (s), as trusting Him in His plan is the healing and coping mechanism we need to survive our tests. Without Him, we become despondent, depressed and lost. Faith helps us come to terms with our losses and faith helps us look forward to a better and happier home.

Do not wait for a test to break you, because life can painful, but use your blessings to thank Him and find your way back….to Him.

May Allah (s) allow us to be our best, have full faith in Him and protect us and our loved ones from harm. Aameen.
