Ramadan Begins: A Month to Reset the Heart

For some, Ramadan begins today with the moonsighting. For others, it begins tomorrow. Wherever you are, this moment carries the same weight: the start of a month that invites us to pause, reset, and draw closer to Allah.

Ramadan isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence. It’s about showing up each day with sincerity, even if your worship looks different from someone else’s.

This month is a reset button for the heart. A chance to slow down, to simplify, and to remember what truly matters.

  • Start small. Even a few verses of Qur’an, a whispered du‘ā, or an extra rak‘ah counts.
  • Anchor your intention. Remind yourself daily: I am fasting for Allah, I am striving for His mercy.
  • Embrace imperfection. Some days will feel heavy, some nights will be short. That’s okay. What matters is returning, again and again, to Him.
  • See worship in the ordinary. Preparing suhoor, caring for family, serving others – all of it becomes ibadah when tied to intention.

Ramadan is not about doing more than everyone else. It’s about doing what you can, with sincerity, and trusting that Allah multiplies the effort.

So as the crescent moon rises, step into this month with hope, gentleness, and resilience. Let it be a time not only of fasting, but of renewal—where your soul finds calm and your heart finds its way back to Allah.

Ramadan Mubaruk!
